Registered Nurse
A leading company in Montego Bay is looking for a Registered Nurse.
Job Objective
Provides professional nursing triage services and health advice to patients over the phone. Follows established procedures and protocols, and documents calls as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- Nursing License
- Certificate of Registration from the Nursing Council of Jamaica
- NCLEX Certified
Key functions and duties
- Collaborate with other professionals within the discipline to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery.
- Document all retrieved data.
- Conduct telephone triage.
- Educate and or advise patients and make safe, effective and appropriate dispositions.
- Review and follow-up on patient files.
Required competencies
- Proficiency in the use of computer software applications including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Good supervisory and motivational skills
- Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Ability at planning and coordinating activities
- Ability to demonstrate tact, confidentiality and professionalism in the execution of duties.
